Ronald Belisario and Brandon League, RPs, Los Angeles Dodgers
Kenley Jansen's heart problems have popped up again, and he might be done for 2012. In that event, there probably wouldn't be a singular stopper, but these two are your best bets, in the listed order of priority. For more, check out Nicholas Minnix's examination in today's Closer Hot Seat.

Andrew Cashner and Anthony Bass, SP, San Diego Padres
Cashner (strained latissimus dorsi muscle) and Bass (right shoulder inflammation) are expected to make their final rehab starts this weekend and would likely dispatch Eric Stults and Andrew Werner from the Padres' quintet. Both returning Padres youngsters will probably be on pitch counts and might not take every turn so San Diego can conserve their respective workloads.
Upon moving to the rotation, Cashner was translating the elite dominance he showed in setup duty. He might be reallocated to the 'pen if they want to take it easy, but he's proven a quick study this year, which should be enough to let San Diego test him in this non-pressure portion of their season.
Bass has slightly less upside (namely, similar control woes to Cashner's and a lower K ceiling), but like Cashner, Bass forces grounded contact often and has a diverse arsenal to keep hitters guessing.
Given their favorable hurler environment and talent (including Cashner's slightly greater K upside), they're solid stashes before others get wind of their re-emergence from inactivity. Their chances for wins could diminish because of their likely conservation at the hands of the coaching staff, but they could easily offer a preview of what could be one of 2013's most intriguing rotations, in terms of profit opportunity.
